Gruul Dead!

We finally killed Gruul the Dragon-Slayer. For some reason, Gruul has stymied us for longer than any other boss so far. Tonight everyone stepped up and we got him down in 13 growths.

The best thing about this is that we can finally start on the full 25-man content, and not worry about 10-man raids.

  1. Gratz,

We only defeated him a couple of weeks ago and it sure is a good feeling. Nect logical step is Magtheridon for the final piece of Tier 4. He will keep you busy for a while i dare say. We are finding him somewhat tough and the group composition has to be spot on with interups from mages and rogues being very important.

  2. Grats!!

We just had an exodus from our guild, so we've been set back a bit on the manpower for Gruul's, but the newer folks are gearing and getting keyed fairly quickly, so I have no doubt we'll be moving in on the 25-man stuff in no time. :)

Good luck in Mag's (which I assume will be your next step)!

  3. Go kill void reaver next. Since they removed the key requirements and he is much easier than mag. My guild has been killing gruul for a month or so and we just killed mag last week. Mag has pretty strict group requirement compared to other fights

  4. Congrats on dead Gruul, Coriel!
    On to Magtheridon's Lair :)
Bring (at least) 3 warlocks, maybe 4, several melee DPS (rogues, fury warriors, an enhancement shaman), at least 4 tanks, 7-8 healers, and a truckload of damage. We downed him for the first time just last week, he's rough. The first 2 minutes are a DPS race, and then the rest of the battle is an stupid check (3, 2, 1, click! No, all at the same time! Click once and don't move! Agh, wipe it...)

  5. Grats on your Gruul kill. We have High King down pat, but still working on the ugly one himself (wait, they're all pretty ugly..).

  6. Grats man. Mag and Lurker are both good choices to go to next (Lurker's got a lot more trash, but the trash drops are pretty good).

  8. Grats!

I'm still 'catching up' on xpac content since I've come back from a six-month hiatus. I have feeling left behind!
