I did the first part of Heroic Nya'lotha with my Paladin. Also did a couple of Emissaries. Nothing really new happened.
I would like to finish up BfA Archeology, though. Perhaps I'll dedicate some play time to that goal.
World of Warcraft Classic
I've been doing quests in Wetlands with my Priest. This Fen Creeper quest is terribly annoying. I've been wandering up and down the waterways trying to catch a glimpse of these stealthed mobs. Actually, stealth mobs in Vanilla are really terrible quests.
General
I've been writing these Gaming Logs for about a month. I'm not sure what to think about them. On the one hand, I actually wrote more posts last month than I have in a couple years. On the other hand, I'm not sure if these posts are actually interesting or worthwhile.
I like reading em!
ReplyDeleteCould be used as a springboard for some ideas. Like why stealth is better(?) in retail vs vanilla
Glad you enjoy them. That's a good idea for a post about stealth.
DeleteI like reading them too! I always find it interesting to see how other people keep busy in their MMOs of choice. Speaking of which, doesn't it get tiresome to re-do the same quests/zones all the time as you cycle through all those lowbies?
ReplyDeleteHmm, that's a good question. I think it's because all the classes play very differently. As well, you generally don't start each combat at full resources, unless you specifically play to accomplish that. So you have to restore resources every few fights, which breaks things up even more.
DeleteI think as a result of that, quests which are primarily about killing things feel different on each character. Quests where you run around and turn in stuff generally feel same-y though.
I like reading them as well! Even when quick and simple, I find your insights interesting to read. I am also able to experience these games vicariously through you at a time when I cannot play them myself.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'll try to keep writing them then.
DeleteLong, long, loooong time lurker here, who seldom posts.
ReplyDeleteYou've always struc me as one who doesn't write anything until you feel you have something significant to say about and as a consequence your posts have always been interesting, even if they haven't been about something I personally have that much interest in.
In other words: I greatly enjoy your writing/musings, whatever form they take (longer posts, shorter diary style). As someone already said above, using the diary style as a springboard for ideas to elaborate on something seems like a good idea.
Of course ultimately you have to do what feels best for you. I know you don't always get many comments on the majority of your posts, but I'd wager there's still quite a few people who actually read your blog regardless (maybe blogspot has metrics that allow you to see that?).
Thanks for the kind words. I think you and Asmiroth are right, and I should use the Gaming Logs as springboards for more involved posts. I will look out for that.
