And it's not just Dora, because that's usually taken. You'll tend to see a lot of toons with Dora in their name. I have to wonder how many of them paid to do that, and how many just happened to have those names. Or how many people returned to playing old characters named Dora just for that achievement.
I'm surprised Dora was still available on so many servers for people to change their name to. It seems that nearly every pronounceable combination of consonants and vowels has been taken on most servers, not even considering actual names like Dora.
If there's a joke in that, I absolutely don't get it :(
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing Dora the explorer !
ReplyDeleteFrom the cartoon of the same name.
LOL
I never thought of it.
Prolly because I'm french and we call her "Dora l'exploratrice" which is feminine and doesn't fit as well.
The majority of them changed their names to "Dora" via Blizzard's customization when the achievements were revealed.
ReplyDeleteI personally know three of them.
Sadly. =P
If there was a 'the builder' achievement for taking part in building the Argent Crusade colluseum, I would change my nam to Bob in a flash.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw this achievement, I thought of rolling a new toon, and naming her Dora, just so I could be Dora the Explorer.
ReplyDeleteI had a friend that did a paid name change to dora just for the title.

ReplyDeleteI'm am disappointed by the lack of top-level fishermen with a suitably humourous name.
ReplyDeleteHahah, my boyfriend made a druid alt with that name just because of that title =X
ReplyDeleteA guildie named his DK Boyardee in preparation for the Chef title. /facepalm
ReplyDeleteWe've got a Zora the Explorer in our guild. Pro name.

ReplyDeleteMy Paladin is "Doralen", often called "Dora" in chat.
ReplyDeleteAnd honestly... I'm seriously considering a name change AWAY from "Doralen the Explorer".
Amusingly enough, though, we had a Shaman on our server named "Doraexplorer" for a long time... wonder how he felt about the new titles? :)
